Watch: Duterte 'looking forward' na maka-trabaho si Donald Trump

Ipinaabot ngayon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mainit na pagbati sa panalo ni US President-elect Donald Trump.

Sinabi ni Communications Sec. Martin Andanar, ang katatapos na United States presidential elections ay patunay sa matagal na nitong tradisyon ng sistemang pangdemokrasya at tinatawag na 'buhay Amerikano.'

Ayon kay Andanar, ipinapakita sa two-party system ang kalayaan ng mga botanteng makapili ng lider batay sa party platforms at hindi sa personalidad.

Hangad umano ni Pangulong Duterte ang tagumpay ni Trump bilang chief executive at commander-in-chief ng US military at inaasam nito ang pakikipagtrabaho sa bagong administrasyon para sa mapagbuti pa ang relasyon ng US at Pilipinas na nakabatay sa prinsipiyo ng mutual respect, mutual benefit at parehong commitment sa democratic ideals at rule of law.

"President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wishes to extend his warm congratulations to Mr. Donald Trump on his recent electoral victory as the 45th President of the United States of America," ani Andanar. "President Duterte wishes President-elect Trump success in the next four years as Chief Executive and commander-in chief of the U.S. military, and looks forward to working with the incoming administration for enhanced Philippines-US relations anchored on mutual respect, mutual benefit and shared commitment to democratic ideals and the rule of law."
